I got this commercial food processor for home use as I found those designed for home use very unreliable according to many reviews on amazon and I checked them out in a shop and they seem very weakly build. I just got it and am testing it out. The slicing attachment - a continuous feed design - works very well. I sliced several pounds of mushroom and onion, and it’s continuous feed design is lovely. I also julienned potato’s (I bought separately a julienne disc) and that’s almost as good as hand cutting it - almost no juice coming out - sharp cutter. After I have put some more time on it, I will update this review. So far, I am glad that I got it instead of one designed for home use.Update:This machine is so quiet and powerful compared with the home use food processors I had. My cats didn’t have to run away from the kitchen when I use it. It does not seem to slow down when I put it under load.I made many potato pancakes using the 2x4 mm julienne disc (bought separately) and it worked out very well. The machine really strike me with its quiet operation and the motor is very torquey - it won’t slow down under load of the cutters . The potato “match sticks” is very finely and evenly sliced and the best part is there is barely any juice from a 5 pound pile of julienned potato - sharp cutting blades. It did the slicing so fast that I didn’t need anything to keep the potato turning dark. Not needing to drain off the juice, I just put it quickly on a hot pan right away.I have 4 slicing discs and they are all heavy duty - well balanced and robustly build out of thick steel sheets and tempered cutting edges. For home use, I doubt I will ever wear them out.I also use the steel bowl and the s-blade to grind up gorbanzo beans to make hummus and this machine did this task fabulously. It is super quiet and the hummus is silky after only a couple of minutes of chopping. Using it to make mayo and whipping up heavy cream were also pleasant experiences. I can make a small quantities of mayo with it unlike a kitchenaid mixer which needs at least 6 eggs for the beater to work; the robot coupe handles a single egg just fine. In fact, I just add the one egg, a small amount of oil, vinegar, and mustard powder and let it whip up the mixture before adding more oil from the top of the lid. This machine beats the kitchenaid and a stick blender in this task.I will add another update after some time to see its reliability.Wife loves this! Don't keep spending your money on cheap processors that only last a year. Buy one of these and it will be the only one you will need. Probably will pass it down to the next generation when we are too old to do our own cooking.Great seller and great productMy darling wife absolutely destroys kitchen equipment...even a deBuyer mandoline is not safe. After shredding three food processors in just over a year, I decided to go with the Robot Coupe as her birthday present. The only feature it's missing is a completely variable speed...but with a light hand, the pulse feature gets pretty close! The stainless bowl is much sturdier than anything else out there at or below this price point, and the motor barely hints at being under load. The veg prep attachment is the real miracle, allowing you to discharge dices or slices directly into a pan if needed. Do not hesitate to purchase the R2N Ultra!Well MadeBest food processor for home use. But could be pricey for most households.Amazing! This is the one we have at work it works so good heavy duty, the best….
