I got this computer with an AMD Athlon dual core CPU. Over time, performance has become sluggish, so I performed a few upgrades - including this Quad-core AMD Phenom II CPU. I also upgraded my Hard Drive to a 1TB SSHD device, and I got a better CPU cooling fan (originally for the AMD Athlon CPU). The combination of upgrades have improved performance noticeably, and my system no longer feels sluggish. This CPU is working very well, and seems very stable. I could not be happier!
