Great book, highly recommended to cooks and beginners, which covers main meals as well as starters, snacks (Vada Pav! :)) sauces, dips, pickles and so on.Two things about this book (and his others) is that make them stand out from everything else. Firstly - it's practical. It's stuff you can and will make and eat with ingredients you can buy from your local supermarket. Secondly -everything always works. The recipes are straightforward and suitable for total beginners. The author, Kenny McGovern, takes this very seriously and everything is tried and tested. He's always on Twitter (@takeawaysecret) describing recce journeys and culinary experiments as well as RT'ing readers' pics. He's also good at answering any queries about a recipe.It's not too hot on vegetarian / vegan meals but I have easily been able to adapt most recipes - unlike many other books it's the sauces and flavours that are the star rather than fancy cuts of meat. Would also benefit from colour photos - but this would increase price. He does have these on his Twitter feed and website.I've got loads of cookbooks - but I keep coming back to Kenny's.
