Romeo has never been so excited for dinner time and I see a notable difference in my guy since switching his food! I half this with the Honest kitchen Dry food for dinner every night and it last a long time. Seems expensive but is actually very cost effective. I wish I had done this sooner, it really is worth every penny to take better care of my best friend in a way that seems to mean so much to him!Ruby likes it in the beginning, but then didn't like it much after that. She can be picky, so I had to go back to what I bought he beforeI have one happy golden pupper! She’s been so picky all the sudden at 8 months and I’ve tried a lot- she actually turned down whole sausages but she licked this bowl clean!! I’ve ordered dry and wet food, treats, and broth! Very happy with the quality of Honest Kitchen!I have a 5 year old American Terrier mix with the most ridiculously sensitive stomach. She gets tired of this quickly but this one has gone the distance. Agree weeks my dog still loves this stuff. For a little variety, I would recommend getting the same dry kibble of this food and mix it.I wanted to feed my dog a RAW diet but it’s too complicated and too expensive!!I wanted something just as healthy and tasty without the red flag price tag!Upon purchasing this , I was Leary after seeing reviews but still took a shot in the dark. She kept going back to the bowl and eating the remnants!!!INITIAL OPENING:The color is pale green and powderyI could see chunks of dried food and it smelled like celery and carrots! After adding the warm water it smelled like a THANKSGIVING DINNER!!! I was highly impressed!MY MEASUREMENTS FOR MY 65lb DOG:1 cup Dehydrated food1 1/2 cup warm water1/4 cup chicken rawboost mixer1/4 cup (mixed) turkey, cranberries, sweet potatoes & green beans (you can buy bags of premix)Mixing Tips1. Mix warm water slowly at a time , pouring and THEN stirring (this keeps the texture )2. Put about a third less water than required (this keeps the consistency)3. Use a literal mixing STICK (I use a chopstick)4. Mix dehydrated food together first THEN mix in the others! Her meal took me less than five minutes to make, and is more nutrient packed than any dry kibble I could buy.I have been giving Honest Kitchen products to my dogs since the product came on the market. It is consistently high quality and readily accepted by my Labradors for years and now my ShihTzu.My dogs love this food! The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because it’s just a little too expensive. I have two medium size dogs so a large box was only lasting about 10 days.My dog has been eating this for years and still gets excited for food. Great ingredients. We make the food in a blender bottle and it works great. My dogs adore yr productMy cocker spaniel puppy likes it! Reliable seller!Okay, so I have a very stubborn miniature Dachshund who will spit out food he doesn't like. He'd rather starve himself than eat kibble he isn't a fan of. We had tried different types, brands, expensive and less so, different meats - you name it. The first time he has been excited was when we tried a small bag of a different brand of freeze-dried food, but they came in pucks which smelled dreadful and were difficult to break apart (not to mention very expensive for what we got), that one kind of upset his stomach as well.I found Honest Kitchen Kibble first, which we started using and he *actually* likes, but when I bought this - it's an absolute game changer. I don't need to worry about watching if he eats the proper amount - he finishes the WHOLE bowl, every time (this NEVER happened before). We split the feeding amount in half, giving one in the morning, other at night. It smells really good, better than any dog food I've ever fed him before. Like, human food nice. It's a pleasure to make for my dog, especially in comparison to other freeze-dried food I've tried. I love that he get's all of the nutrience he needs, and it's relatively affordable considering. Will update a few months from now to see if he doesn't get too bored of it. :)This product is much different than my previous food ( which is no longer available, completely different supplier), so I was glad to have the reviews to prepare me for the texture difference. Really much more like a slurry than a stew, which I would have preferred. But I'm not the one eating it, and our three large dogs absolutely love it! The cost is rather prohibitive, so even though we use it as a topper for kibble, which makes it last longer, we probably won't get this again.
