The short summary of my review would be that I highly recommend this food. With a five star rating on dogfoodadvisor, the ingredients are top notch. It might take some time for your dogs to adjust to the flavor, but don't give up. After a few weeks of feeding this, my picky eaters clean their bowls every night.Read on for a more detailed review! My dogs tend to be very picky about dry food. With one of them having Addison's disease, I always try to make sure to buy foods with quality ingredients but unfortunately those aren't always the foods that taste the best. (Sound familiar to us two legged junk food eaters?) Prior to trying out this food, I was giving them Purina Beyond grain free, which they liked but I know is only middle of the road as far as quality of ingredients goes. I wanted to try to get them something a little better, but a lot of times the expensive brands that make it to the five star list on dogfoodadvisor and other review sites, they just won't touch.Enter the I and love and you brand... I noticed that they had gotten a five star review in the last analysis of their food on dogfoodadvisor and their price on Amazon was surprisingly affordable so I decided to give it a try. At first I was afraid it was another flop. I mixed the new food about half and half with their old food for about two weeks, gradually upping the ratio of new food to prevent any stomach problems. (They get freshly cooked ground turkey, chicken or pork with dog friendly spices for lunch and then dry food mixed with another serving of the same ground meat for dinner). At first, they were leaving almost all of the new food in their bowls every night. I persisted past the two weeks to the point that I was exclusively giving them the new dry food mixed with the ground meat at night. They started eating some of it but were still leaving quite a bit of food in the bowls. I figured I'd give it one more week and if they still didn't seem to be adjusting, I'd go back to the drawing board.Lo and behold, close to the end of that week they started cleaning their bowls of every crumb. I don't know if it just took time to adjust but it has been over a month now and they still eat every scrap each night. (And this includes our one dog who is about the pickiest eater I've ever seen. She won't even touch most deli meat and very few dog treats, no matter how hungry she is. She likes real meat and food made from fresh ingredients above all.)
