They're good dishes. My cat will occasionally take food out of them to eat off of his placemat on the floor, so I can't attest to how good they are at reducing whisker irritation. But they look great, are very sturdy and have a nice weight to them. I would repurchase these again if I needed to.I bought these for my smaller dogs, like the openness. dogs can eat out of them without fighting to get to the edges like the higher round bowls. They are also great for bringing with me when we go somewhere, the interlock and with a bit of saranwrap or foil they stay secure and easy to bring along like them a lot.PROS: o Good size for our 18 pound Sheltie Doodle o Smooth, easy-to-clean surface (and easy to lick!!! for the dog, not me) o Raised rim keeps the food from falling off as the dog eatsCONS: o noneYes, I would buy this again.Since this is microwaveable, I can take the food from the refrigerator, spread it out on the plate, and nuke it in short bursts to warm it to room temperature quickly. Our dog prefers to eat from a flat surface and not out of a bowl. Can't think of any downside to it. Granted this is breakable, so that *could* be an issue if you drop it on a hard surface. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.We were using little paper plates for wet cat food, but our two felines had to chase them across the floor. So we bought these. Great choice! They are sturdy enough not to slide away when the cats eat; the surface is curved just right to keep them from licking the food off the dish, yet flat enough so that they don't get "whisker fatigue." You can just wash them off under the faucet or pop them in the dishwasher--easy cleanup.I did not like these plates for my cats. Because they're relatively flat, kitties push food right off the edges with their noses. The ceramic is thin and cheap and will not take any banging whatsoever. Compared to the "Y YHY" brand, these are super fragile. If you get a chip in a plate, please dispose of it responsibly. It would be difficult to prevent further chipping and you do NOT want to get that in your cat's food.I would not buy these again. They're currently sitting unused and *might* end up a donation. Both of my cats eat out of these bowls with no problems. These are ceramic and easy to clean. They’re wide enough for our messy kitten.I have a 18 lb dog that doesnt like his tag to clang when he eats his rehydrated food. I love these plates. They are heavy and the lip is perfect to keep the food on the plate as he pushes things around
